InquiryCRM

How guests opt in to text messages

Venues that use InquiryCRM send a text message only to a guest who called and asked for event information. This page describes how that agreement is collected. InquiryCRM is operated by IQ Education LLC.

1. The guest calls the venue

A guest phones a banquet venue to ask about hosting an event, such as a wedding or a corporate event. They give their name, event date, and phone number to the staff member who takes the call. No one is texted who has not called the venue and asked for information.

2. The guest is told a text will be sent, and agrees

Before any text is sent, the staff member tells the guest that the event details and package information will be sent by text message, and the guest agrees. The conversation goes like this:

Guest: Can you send me details about hosting an event at your venue?

Venue staff: Yes. I can text you a link with the event details and package information. Is it okay to text you at this number?

Guest: Yes, that's fine.

If the guest prefers not to receive a text, no text is sent and the venue provides the information another way.

3. The venue sends one text

A venue team member records the inquiry in InquiryCRM and chooses to send the text. It is one message, with a link to the guest's event details and package pricing. Example:

Deewan Banquet via InquiryCRM: details for your inquiry #260908-1 are here: https://app.inquirycrm.com/api/s/Xk3pQ9aTr2 (link expires in 8 hours). Reply STOP to opt out.

Every message starts with the venue's name and says it was sent via InquiryCRM, so the guest knows who it is from.

4. The guest can stop texts at any time
